Principal Letter for May

Dear Ritzman Community,
Welcome to the month of May!
We have a little over 20 days of school left for this school year. I am so proud of our Ritzman Staff and how they have all worked together to create the best online learning for our students. Be sure to continue to communicate to your child's teachers directly.
I also know many of you are getting restless at home and anxious for the next step in closing school before summer break.
I will continue to do my best to keep you informed as soon as I hear specifics from the board of education. We will have a couple of days coming up in May for students to come in to pick up any remaining items they have left at school. If your child took everything home, then I would encourage you not to come to the building until we have a community get together to celebrate our 5th graders, PTO and each other. At any time you are leaving your home, it is recommended to wear a face covering like a mask. As we prepare for the last item pick-up, students must need to wear a mask and only 10 people at a time will be admitted into the school. More details will come later.
Finally, this week (first week of May) is usually the week we celebrate teachers and staff for Teacher/Staff Appreciation.I am sure teachers and staff would be thrilled to hear from their students and you. Even though they are great at the hard work they do daily, it is nice to hear feedback from the people they serve.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being flexible and committed to our children's education during this time. We know it is very difficult. Please continue to call or email your child's teacher or myself ( with anything you may need support with during this online learning.
