Principal's All Call January 26,2020
Posted on 01/27/2020

Good Evening Parents and Guardians,

This is Mrs. McIntosh calling with our weekly message at 6.

I wanted to share some specific events happening this week at Ritzman.

On Monday, third grade students who are working towards meeting 3GG goals, will begin tutoring with Mrs. O’Brien, our 3GG tutor. In addition, selected 2nd and 3rd grade students received an Akron After School invite. Please return those forms as soon as possible.

On Thursday, students will bring home their Marking Period 2 report card.

On Friday, we will be having our monthly perfect attendance breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Students will also have an assembly from Children’s Concert Society. Be sure to ask them about it.

Three daily reminders:

1.    Make sure your child wears a winter coat, hat and gloves to school daily.

2.    Regularly check your child’s book bag and coat for any toys or items that should not be brought to school.

3.    Call off your child each and every day they will be absent from school.

Here are some events later in January:

Don’t forget about Girls on the Run for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls. Registration opens on January 28th at

Marking Period 2 Awards Recognition and Family Math Night is February 6th beginning at 5:30 p.m. I hear that Rammie is coming. He heard the challenge, “Are you smarter than Rammie?” Please turn in the RSVP form sent home last Tuesday. If you need another copy, let us know.

Father Daughter Dance is on February 7th. Be sure to turn in your Daughter’s RSVP form.

Finally, we continue to have the parking lot congested when staff is trying to enter the lot in the morning. Regularly, there can be a line from the front of the building that lines up all the way down Stetler Ave. This is keeping staff from arriving and parking on time. In addition, some drivers are parking in the middle of the drop off zone so no one can pull in properly to the parking spots that are remaining.

ü  ARRIVE NO EARLIER THAN 7:50 a.m. to drop off your child.

ü  The flow of traffic needs to move quickly in ONE LANE.

ü  If you would like to wait with or for your child, use the church parking lot next door.  DO NOT PARK OR WAIT IN LINE to watch your child walk to the breakfast door, #8.

ü  Have your child ready to exit the car immediately in the morning.

Thank you for your assistance in resolving this concern.
