School pictures from Lifetouch went home with students this past week. If you would like for your child to have retakes, November 5th is the date Lifetouch will do retakes. Be sure to return the original picture package for retakes.

This month, Akron Public Schools is sponsoring Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. All students and staff are encouraged to wear blue jeans and pink on Thursday, October 28 to support all cancers.
The Immunization Exclusion date is coming soon on November 1st. Tonya, our health aide, has contacted all parents and guardians via phone call and an immunization letter. Be sure to turn in your doctor’s documentation.
After Hours Support Center is available Monday-Thursday for any student for K-12 tutoring and academic support. Students may log in through their portal. Here is a link to the After Hours Program .

Finally, here is detailed information about Ritzman’s Harvest Celebration. Students and staff will be celebrating by having individual classroom activities on Friday, October 29th. Teachers will plan their class’ harvest celebrations.The Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders will begin their class celebrations at 1:15 until 2:30pm. 5th graders will begin their class celebrations at 12:15 until 1:30pm. There are several important precautions and protocols for us to follow in order to be safe and healthy.
Noone is allowed to bring food or drink to school to be consumed for the Classroom Harvest Celebrations.

As for costumes, students will not wear them to school in the morning. They will carry their costumes to school on Friday, October 29th. Costumes must be able to fit over students’ school clothing that is worn in the morning. Costumes will be stored in student lockers until their class celebration time in the afternoon. At the time of celebrations, costumes will be put on over their clothing. Accessories may be added, but No Weapons, blood or gore. Students will not be permitted to go home or change into a costume here at school. This must be strictly followed.
Continue to be mindful about Arrival and Dismissal procedures. There is no smoking in any of our parking lots, the main school and church lots. Tell anyone picking up your child that there is no smoking. Students must wear a mask daily and above all, keep being kind with each other.
