Dear Ritzman Family,

THERE WILL BE A LOT OF COMMUNICATION ABOUT OUR RETURN TO SCHOOL THIS WEEK. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will return to in-person on March 8th. 3rd through 5th grade students will return to in-person on March 15th.

As we prepare for our return to the building, the protocols and routines that will change due to social distancing and safety from COVID. Here are a few. Only students will enter the building at arrival. At dismissal, everyone is to remain outside and at their cars. Parents and pick up adults will need to wait outside by their cars, to ensure proper social distancing. In addition, we can not have people gather outside the front door like in the past. As mentioned before, students will need their temperature checked prior to coming to school and are required to wear masks. There is district guidance on the type of mask students and staff are permitted to wear. The cowl neck gaiter style and bandana are NOT permitted. The preferred mask is a 2 ply cotton mask that fits snugly to the face covering the nose, mouth and chin area. Disposable masks are acceptable. Mask breaks will be scheduled and executed with great caution. Here are a few items that students will need to bring to school; sharpened pencils, Chromebook and Charger, Backpack, Kleenex, but NO TOYS or other electronic devices may be brought to school. More information will be shared this week.

We have new  Stay in the Game!  Winners to be announced tomorrow morning on our daily announcements. Your child’s attendance is important everyday. If your child will not be in class, call the school to let us know. Mr. Canavan, our P.E. teacher is personally visiting students’ homes to bring prizes to the winners.
