We review Ritzman’s expectations frequently with students from our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) . Ritzman has done an excellent job of implementing this program in school with students and staff. Parents, please take a minute to review our  Ritzman PBIS website. Ask your children about these expectations to ensure they understand and know them.

It  is important for students to keep their hands, feet and other objects to themselves in order to have an enjoyable recess experience. Playground Rules (link)

School pictures from Lifetouch went home with students this past week. If you would like for your child to have retakes, November 5th is the date Lifetouch will do retakes. Be sure to return the original picture package for retakes.

All students and staff are encouraged to wear blue jeans and pink on Thursday, October 28 to support all cancers and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

The Immunization Exclusion date is coming soon on November 1st. Tonya, our health aide, has contacted all parents and guardians via  phone call and an immunization letter. Be sure to turn in your doctor’s documentation.

After Hours Support Center is available Monday-Thursday for any student for K-12 tutoring and academic support. Students may log in through their portal. Here is a link to the After Hours Program .

Ritzman’s Harvest Celebration is on Friday, October 29th. Teachers will plan their class’ harvest celebrations. There are several important precautions and protocols for us to follow in order to be safe and healthy. Squid Game and Among Us costumes are not allowed at school due to the violent nature of them.

  • Do not send or bring food or drink to school to be consumed for the  Harvest Celebrations.

  • Teachers will give directions for how students will share individually wrapped candy or non-edible treats with classmates.

  • As for costumes, students will carry their costumes to school on Friday. Costumes must be able to fit over students’ school clothing as they will be put on over students’ clothing. Accessories may be added, but  No Weapons, blood or gore. Students will not be permitted to go home or change into a costume here at school. This must be strictly followed.

Continue to be mindful about Arrival and Dismissal procedures. There is no smoking in any of our parking lots, the main school and church lots. Tell anyone picking up your child that there is no smoking. Students must wear a mask daily and above all, keep being kind with each other.

If you have any questions, you may call the school at 330-761-7903 or email me at imcintos@apslearns.org

Thank you!

   Love, Mrs. M
