Principal's All Call December 16, 2018

Good Evening Parents and Guardians,

This is Mrs. McIntosh calling with our weekly message at 6.

CONGRATULATIONS STUDENTS! You did an amazing performance at your Christmas & Winter Concerts. Thank you Mrs. Heinl for all of your work and preparation.

Here are some events for this week.

Just remember this is the last week of school before our winter/ Christmas Break. The break will begin on December 24th and run through January 7th. Students do not return to school until the 8th.

Specific events for this week includes our monthly PTO meeting on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Please note that PTO has a board position, secretary, available to fill. If you are interested, attend this meeting.   On Friday we will have our monthly attendance recognition breakfast. I will do my best to complete an all call on Thursday for those students being recognized. The last date of the second marking period is also on Friday. Make sure your child has handed in all of their assignments and completed all tests prior to the close of the school day on Friday, the 21stBe sure to continue to stay up-to-date by checking your child's HAC report, the school planner, and reaching out and asking questions to our staff. We are all here to support your children and see them succeed.

Here are other important announcements.

Please review the district’s uniform policy with your child. Students are to wear solid color hoodies, no logos or patterns should be on them. In addition, girls must wear a skirt, shorts or jumper over their leggings. They are not to be worn alone. The uniform policy states “classic fit” for pants, not tight fitting leggings or jeggings.

Every 3rd, 4th and 5th grade student is expected to bring their Chromebook daily to school charged and ready to use. While students are using their Chromebooks, parents MUST monitor the different social media apps they are using. Never allow them to use their Chromebook without your supervision. In addition, the board of education now has a Chromebook fine policy for students who damage their Chromebooks. If you would like a copy, please stop by the office.

Finally, I am learning new social media apps and have created a Ritzman school Twitter account. Please feel free to follow RitzmanCLC. I am looking for special events or highlight positives from our school. Let me know if you have any good news that I can post. Thank you!
