Principal's All Call January 19, 2020
Posted on 01/20/2020

Good Evening Parents and Guardians,

This is Mrs. McIntosh calling with our weekly message at 6.

January is going so fast already. Don’t forget there is no school tomorrow, Monday, January 20th in celebration for Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. On Tuesday, we officially begin the 3rd grading period. We will also have our wonderful Cosi Program. Be sure to ask your students about this amazing science event brought to Ritzman by PTO. THANK YOU!

On Friday, PTO will be having a treat sale.

Four daily reminders:

1.    Ritzman 5th grade student council students are continuing to collect clean coke cans. They may be dropped off right inside door 8 from 7:50 until 8:15 a.m. daily. Do NOT bring to the Main Office.

2.    Make sure your child wears a winter coat, hat and gloves to school daily.

3.    Regularly check your child’s book bag and coat for any toys or items that should not be brought to school.

4.    Call off your child each and every day they will be absent from school.

Here are some events later in January:

Don’t forget about Girls on the Run for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls. Registration opens on January 28th at www.gotrneo.org.

Marking Period 2 Report Cards will be coming home on Thursday, January 30th.

Marking Period 2 Awards Recognition and Family Math Night is February 6th beginning at 5:30 p.m. I hear that Rammie is coming. He heard the challenge, “Are you smarter than Rammie?” Please turn in the RSVP form sent home last Tuesday. If you need another copy, let us know.

Finally, Ritzman staff NEEDS your help. We continue to have the parking lot congested when staff is trying to enter the parking lot in the morning. There can be a line from the front of the building and all the way down Stetler. This is keeping staff from arriving and parking on time. In addition, some drivers are parking in the middle so no one can pull in properly to the parking spots that are remaining.  DO NOT ARRIVE PRIOR TO 7:50 a.m. to drop off your child. The flow of traffic needs to move quickly in ONE LANE. If you would like to park and wait, use the church parking lot next door.  Thank you for your assistance in resolving this concern.

Remember, if you have any questions about these weekly all calls, please call 330-761-7903 or email me at imcintos@apslearns.org. Have a good night and we will see everyone on Tuesday!

Sincerely,

Mrs. McIntosh
